Photographs For Music: 1/6/2003

My photograph taken on 1/6 "scored" with a track from the Dome City album, Ascend. Little did we know that 18 years in the future there would be an insurrection at the Capitol. The wounds of 9/11 were still fresh, and a war was looming in Iraq.

Ascend is actually an alternate mix of Who You Are. The found voice of Elisis Livingston of the Shambala retreat in Glastonbury. She was a subject in the documentary by Richard Dawkins titled Enemies of Reason. It is more of a parody than a tribute to her spiritual vision, but there is a certain power in her voice in context with the music, and I like how one affects the other.
