Dream: In Kazakhstan. I was living with a family there and participated in a ritual where the oldest son was dressed in a brightly-colored feathered costume and cast off into the wilderness. Another fragment where I was preparing for an approaching storm, gathering all my valuables.
Observation: Pop music now is sort of like using an idiot appliance, where everything is pre-programmed and pre-made. There’s no interest in learning theory. Why learn a blues scale, when you can just find a recording of one? Recordings are an attempt at a perfect performance, so we don’t have to worry about the anticlimax of a human being making mistakes.
[10/27/2024: LLMs are now that idiot appliance. To some extent, synths started to become idiot appliances around this time. As regards learning music, if you look at Reddit or Quora, there is still an interest in learning theory. On YouTube there are perhaps too many unqualified people teaching it. Last night I watched Peter Frampton’s performance at the Hall of Fame and it was a testament why we need to play music manually: it helps us transcend suffering.]

Harriet Meiers recuses. It’s amazing how US political factions are wont to use Supreme Court Justices as shills to support their agendas. (I think it’s better if we don’t know what’s behind the curtain—it shouldn’t matter because judges aren’t supposed to rule on their personal values, but they could).
[10/27/2024: And they do!]

Lyrics: “Your Very Own Bus” based on Dynaxiom 2239
10/27/2024, Sunday
Dynaxiom draft: "God is something that rose to power and we don't know why it did. It can't just be just an 'energy'. It had to be at least be an ordinary man who cared about ordinary people. (Me speaking rhetorically." I wouldn't necessarily say it or believe it, but makes a good riff):
Sunny, clear sky, 65 degrees. Perfect fall day at peak color. Decided to do my first soundwalk as the first possible Sum III album--walk to Thatcher Woods. A bit too windy and I lost my windscreens.
